Hospice Whanganui is excited about our new and innovative specialised palliative care services, and we are looking to grow our team! We are seeking registered nurses for both permanent and casual positions.
About Hospice Whanganui
We are a patient/whānau-led service that operates 24/7, providing specialised palliative care across the Whanganui, Waimarino, and South Taranaki regions. What sets us apart is our nurse-led, hybrid model of practice that enables us to be agile and responsive to the evolving needs of our whānau and communities. Whether patients are at home, in hospital, in a facility, or in our inpatient unit, we provide compassionate, expert care where they choose to be.
When facing difficult times, our patients and their whānau deserve care that is both compassionate and professional. Our experienced, specialised palliative team—comprising Medical Officers, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, HCA’s, and Whānau Support staff—offers expert, holistic and whānau-centred care when it is needed most.
We are seeking both permanent and casual (as and when needed) nurses who are:
· Passionate about holistic care
· Keen to work primarily in a community-setting, supported by a small in-patient facility
· Ideally available to work across all shifts 7 days a week, including occasional night shifts and overnight on-call on a rostered and rotating basis
· Passionate about working in an integrated way with all members of the team
